The Clarendon Buildings are located in Islington and form an important local landmark. The buildings currently include a book binder industrial facility at the ground level with office accommodation on upper levels. The structure has a regular rational fenestration pattern with brickwork facades. The scheme proposal converts the existing space into apartments with the introduction of two new cores providing access to eight lateral apartments per level. One additional level is added within the existing roof space which link to the level below to form duplex units.
