Tryfon Kalyvides is the principal in the practice specialising in master planning, architecture and urban design. Tryfon set up The Kalyvides Partnership in 1994 after holding the Urban Design Directorship at Terry Farrell and Partners between 1991 and 1994. Tryfon has 30 years’ experience and is the design leader within the practice, involved with all aspects of the design process from inception to completion within the studio office environment. Tryfon has led on major regeneration award winning projects including Merchant Square at Paddington Basin and the Home Office development at Marsham Street in Westminster. Many of the practice projects have been widely published. He is a former visiting post graduate tutor at university and has been a member of the Urban Design Alliance. Tryfon recognises urban design and architecture as integrated in determining solutions and opportunities for the resolution of complex issues. He has directed several strategic mixed-use master plans nationally and internationally and has led on a variety of architectural projects in the UK and Europe.
