MILTON ROAD

CAMBRIDGE

The site is 2.41 hectares (5.96 acres) and is currently occupied by EMG, a car dealership facility and hard standing for cars. The catalyst for the regeneration will be the new railway station.

The site is ‘triangular ‘in shape forming a point on the north-west boundary. The design concept is to bring together a more modern approach with the traditional character of the post war housing. The use of varied roof profiles are important.

The development is broken down into 6 distinct buildings. The three buildings to the northern zone are linked at the rear only on the ground level for parking however rise as three independent structures above. The remaining three buildings are also separate from each other within the development site rather than monolithic structures.
