The island site is located at the junction of Friern Barnet Road and Regal Drive to the east side of the Princesses Estate in North London. The Greek Orthodox Church is orientated on an east west axis with a Byzantium crucifix form. The nave is linear and leads to the iconostasis and apse zones which are expressed in the external form. The concept for the development follows the objective to maintain a simple exterior alongside a rich inner sole; the interior. To the south the extended zone exploits the site configuration to increase the size of the nave. At the intersection a dome with pendentives towers above to form the centre heavenly spirit of the Church.
