THE CRAGS

The Crags site sits directly at the base of the Salisbury Crags to the east of the City in Edinburgh. The development will form part of the evolving student accommodation masterplan which includes Deaconess House and the Kirk O’ Fields sites.

The scheme takes the form of two distinct buildings on ground plus three floors with a central enclosing courtyard. The formation of a linear building on Carnegie Street recreates the historic pedestrian link through from the Pleasance to the Crags with direct views towards Arthur’s Seat.

The accommodation is mainly cluster units with six rooms served by individual common rooms organised around four cores and includes 154 rooms within 28 clusters as well as four individual studio rooms.
