WEST GREEN ROAD
HARINGEY
At West Green Road, the mixed use scheme includes twenty two residential apartments and five retail units at the ground level and mezzanine level. The site is at the corner of West Green Road and Stanmore Street. The land previously included a textile warehouse which was demolished in preparation for a mixed use development.
The new building is ‘L’ shaped enclosing a courtyard providing amenity space and surface car parking for the residents. The building has a concrete frame with in-situ slabs. The corner feature is clad in 50mm quarter bond red brickwork and curtain walling with projecting asymmetrical curtain walling. Expressed metal fins contrast to the return facades which are Classic Buff brickwork punctuated with modelled balconies offset at different levels.
The main facades are ordered by a vertical and horizontal metal channel system with metal and coloured glass balconies and windows lined at head jamb and cills in metalwork. The fenestration is staggered at each level. At the top floor the larger residential units are ordered and enclosed with capped curtain walling and metal panel systems.
